Hello LRBOA Members-

Due to the pandemic & the restrictions attached to it, this year we were forced to get creative in how we conduct this vital process of determining who will serve our members, during the 2020-22 term. 

Since we will not be able to come together for the election, in a meeting setting, the Board of Directors has decided to conduct a "Drive Thru" election. We understand this process may be a little unorthodox, so put together a short video to lay out all of the important details regarding this years LRBOA Election. The video is available to view now, on the "Election" page of our LRBOA website.

Also on that page, you will find a personal video & bio, of each candidate that is running in this years election. Our candidates worked hard to put together these resources for you, so we hope that you will take the time to view each of their videos & read their bios, so that you may make an informed decision when you vote. 

In closing, the "Election Details" video on the website, will cover everything you need to know for election day, but here are a few key pieces of information, for your convenience:

• Positions up for Election for '20-'22 Term: LRBOA Secretary & (2) At-Large Board Member positions

• Candidates for Secretary: Natasha Lewis, Reta Jackson

• Candidates for Board Member At-Large: Brenda Young, Terrance Mike, Carol Lawson, Ivener Nelson

• Election Day: Monday, June 29, 5:30pm-7:30pm, @ Carver Recreation Center (Parking Lot), Bartow, FL

• Drive Thru Voting: After arriving in the parking lot, an election official will bring you a ballot. Fill out the ballot, and drop it in the ballot box provided.

• Election Results: Once the polls close & the votes are counted, we will film a short video announcing the election results. A link to this video, and the election results themselves, will be emailed to our members later that evening.
